Brand Guidelines
These are the DiamondBacks Brand Guidelines. Our brand is how we visually represent ourselves as a sporting organisation.
The DiamondBacks brand is extremely important and the way we represent our club visually forms an important part of our public image. Consistency in how we do this is vital in ensuring the creation of a strong, powerful and successful brand.

No deviation from these guidelines by way of adaptation or alteration is acceptable. By following these guidelines you will be helping to ensure DiamondBacks maintains a strong, powerful and successful brand.

Our Name
Where DiamondBacks is written in any circumstance it should be written as one word with a capital D and B as follows: ​
DiamondBacks

Administrative/financial documents such as registration forms, invoices and subs notices will use the following title:
Prince of Wales Wellington Hockey Club trading as DiamondBacks
​
Non-administrative documents such as flyers, brochures and notices to members will use the following title:
DiamondBacks
​
Whilst playing, the scoreboard will have the following title:
DBacks
​
Note: ‘the’ may be used in front of DiamondBacks where it is needed grammatically but should be avoided at all other times.
Our Logo Variations
This is the DiamondBacks Hockey Club master logo. Its has been deliberately configured and should never be altered, recreated or reset.
To ensure the brand is represented as consistently as possible, multiple variations of the master logo are available for use to allow restrictions with application. Please ensure you use the correct logo for your situation. ​This logo cannot be reproduced without approval.

Our Logo Usage
The DiamondBacks logo is to be included on all correspondence (including administrative and non-administrative documentation), stationery, signage, etc.

The following need to be taken into account when using the DiamondBacks logo:

When using the DiamondBacks logo, choose the highest resolution appropriate for your medium. 300DPI is the minimum resolution for all print applications and 72DPI is the minimum resolution for all online application.

The logo must not be altered or distorted in any horizontal and/or vertical dimensions. The logo may be resized to meet the specific needs but the dimensions are to remain fixed.

Please ensure you are using the correct file type for your application. Vector (AI) for all official printing, JPEG for inhouse printing, and PNG for all online use.

The logo must not be animated in 3D.

The integrity of the logo must remain intact and distinctive when overlaid on photographs or other images. Please refer to the clear space requirements.

Please ensure the correct logo variation is used for your medium and size requirements.
The club’s Prince of Wales Wellington emblem is not to be used on any public facing documentation (intended for the public of members of the club). The POWW emblem may only be used on administration documentation and business to business communications.

​The DiamondBacks logo must be used on all sponsorship material to ensure the relationship is visible and acknowledged.
Our Logo Clear Space & Minimum Size
To ensure the legibility of our logo minimum clearance space and minimum size rules must be maintained at all times.
The preferred clearance space measurement is based on the height of the letter ‘B’ within the logo. This distance should be maintained on all sides. Please note that exceptions can be made to this rule for material produced by the DiamondBacks Hockey Club.

The minimum size at which the master logo should appear is 40 mm in height.
​
The minimum size at which the simplified logo should appear is 30 mm in height.

Our Colour Palette
Our primary colour palette is made up of 4 colours, plus Black and White.
​
These colours make up our logo and should also be used as accurately as possible for imagery, backgrounds, marketing material and uniforms.
​
Our brand also includes gradients and these are only for use within the logo and should not be used for any other application.
