DiamondBacks Hockey Club recognises that the future great players of hockey will come from our junior ranks.

We are committed to providing a safe, encouraging environment for our young players, whilst giving them expert coaching and ample development opportunities.

We work closely with Hockey Tasmania to ensure we are aligned to regional and state development programmes and opportunities.

We cover all age groups

Age 4-12

Largest Junior section in Tasmania

Our Club has teams in all age groups for both boys and girls and young players can be introduced in to hockey in our Stick2Hockey teams that provide modified ground size and rules to help their transition into hockey.

Our goal is to develop their love of hockey, improve skills, sporting values and development as individuals. We provide a nurturing, inclusive environment with older junior players helping coach and mentor.

In 2023 we have 180 junior players from U9 to U18.
